Arthur leads through example. Within the legal profession, he has been recognized many times as a "Super Lawyer." Considering that a "Super Lawyer" has to be nominated by peers, surveys, and third-party research and then evaluated on twelve weighted indicators of professional achievement and peer recognition, Super Lawyer is a distinction awarded to few lawyers in each of seventy specialties. Arthur was first recognized as a Super Lawyer, Rising Star in the years 2008-2010 and has repeatedly received the honor as a Super Lawyer, Intellectual Property Attorney from 2011-2014 and 2017-2021.

As a physicist and control engineer, Arthur was intimately familiar with state-of-the-art computer, software, and technical systems long before returning to college to earn his Juris Doctorate and to begin his second career specializing in patent and intellectual property law. He founded the Intellectual Property Center and is a frequently requested speaker for national audiences on intellectual property law and the internet. He has considerable expertise in patents, copyrights, trademarks, licensing, computer law issues, the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA) and Digital Millennial Copyright Act (DMCA), and the protection and litigation of intellectual property rights. Outside of the office, Arthur enjoys time with his family and volunteers a District Commissioner of the Boy Scouts of America and serves on the board of the Leawood Lions Club as well as boards of other community-based organizations. Arthur relaxes with outdoor activities such as cycling, hiking and running.
